I hope that my child[ren], looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;I've been debating about this for awhile now. I don't want to cut anyone, because I honestly like and am "invested" into each and every one of you on my friends list. I've found myself skimming entries lately, though, and that's not fair to you - to have a ( Read more... )

First off Im sorry for coming to your journal for this questions, but forgive me Im afraid to post it in november board in fear of being "SNARKED".
Tate is now 6 months old and 18lbs. Breastfed only. He was doing well at night and only waking up 2x and the past month he has started waking up every hour. My first two children were formula fed and slept threw the night at 8 weeks, with only some nights they would wake up once. Tate has never slept threw the night. This wouldnt be so bad if he didnt wake up every hour. I am not getting a good night sleep. I have a few theorys and thought you with your knowledge could help me. My first theory is he nures on demand and falls asleep nursing and this means when he wakes up he cant soothe himself back to sleep so he needs to be nursed. Or my second theory is maybe he is waking up because he is truely hungry and maybe its time to start him on solids. Then theres the theory im not thinking of and maybe you could help me out... Do you have any ideas? Im out of them and very tired...

First, this might just be temporary. It's quite possible that he's going through a growth spurt. Physical is a little off schedule (but babies don't know there's a how-to guide on this stuff ;-) ). It could be a developmental growth spurt, too. Has he learned something new lately - or has his routine changed at all? He may be exciting himself - or worried that you won't come to him and is testing it out to make sure he's wrong. I'm really not a fan of letting a baby cry to get them on your schedule - I don't know where you stand on that. But if that's something that you've been trying recently, this might be his reaction to that, too ( ... )
