Could life get any better?

First the lawn mower broke and we can't afford a new one. Then the weed eater died. Monday my car died on the road and I was very worried about paying for repairs. Well the good news it that it won't cost me a thing to fix it. The bad news is it's now the world's largest paper weight. All this one week before I head to Media West convention. ( Read more... )

Look on the bright side...what a paper weight...

Is this going to interfere with your journey?

I guess not. Weather I spend the money for the trip or not won't matter since I will have to borrow money to buy a new car. It's just so disheartening when we are going through hard times to have this happen on top of everything else. so maybe the trip will make me feel better.

I still haven't worked out how we will meet up with you but I will!

Of course it will cheer you up... If we hang around the hotel, can you just turn up?

Oh, man, I hope things start looking up for you soon!

I went to bed just after reading this post, and had a series of dreams in which these things all happened to me. (Since it was a dream, I ended up with a pile of broken lawnmowers in my bedroom, and the car that stopped working was actually a sort of motorized bed...I don't know either.) Boy was I glad to wake up and not have any of these problems.

So I suppose I can say that I have some idea how you feel. Good luck getting your car and lawn mower situations straightened out, and I hope you can put it all out of your mind and have fun at the Con!

LOL! I'm happy to share the angst of it all with you ;)

But seriously, thanks for the good wishes. I really need them, I'm feeling very down at the moment. And I just got into it with a patron at the reference desk. Seems I was "rude". Make sure you take a class on difficult patrons, it will come in handy.
