I've spent the morning looking at rentals. Here's a little observation:  I could buy a place, and pay a morgage for much less than the asking rent on most places around here. There's something profoundly wrong about this.

Oh, for those of you who don't know, my cellphone battery died. It only works while plugged into the wall. Just an FYI.

That's why people buy ... morgage payments are almost always cheaper than rent (unless you get screwed on the rate, or buy bigger than you were renting). The trick is saving up the downpayment.
