In case you haven't kept up with energy technology news we are now on the verge of the fusion age as mankind has now pretty much tamed fusion reactor technology. Now we need only master it and fine tune it

I'm still a bit iffy about fusion. Mainly because I know and understand fission reactors, and know just how safe they are. The huge energies involved in fusion, though, have me wary.

BTW, have you kept up with pebble-bed reactors?

Last I heard they were talking about using one for the proposed mars manned space mission. Other then that I think they have been pretty much defunct. I know MIT has a small one.
