update on livejournal friends

I went to bed at nearly 2am after fighting with LJ thinking that this morning it would be fixable.....however it's not so far.  i had been trying to make filters and clean up my lj---deleting old communities i'm not reading, and journals of folks who i either don't know who they are or haven't posted in about 2 years.....somehow i deleted everyone

I don't understand, could you not just ask all your previous friends to add you again in a public post and then add them back one by one? What happened exactly?

i just got response from the help desk at lj---- i guess because i did so much it froze my account (some silly protection they put in place a couple years ago to stop robots from adding a million people) it i guess would have unfrozen in 24 hours......but in the end i wasn't opposed to having a new lj---this one is for sure an archive but when i let my paid account lapse it deleted all the photos i'd stored in it from before my old comptuer died so it's not like there is a whole bunch here..... you should add my new account "sassafrasolivia"
