He stood still on a beaten down dirt road, his eyes scanning the surroundings around him. Broken down tanks laid abandoned on the sides, appearing as if they hadn’t been used in years. His expression remained serious as he glanced over at the dead trees decorating the area, appearing almost impassive about the whole situation.
“…The state of this road remains the same. No progress has been made in cleaning it up.” He quietly said to himself before turning around to investigate more of the area around him. Now facing in the opposite direction he originally was in, a small frown grew on his face as he noticed that the road in front of him split into two.
…The road…did it change-
He watched as one man, dressed in a crisp white uniform, appeared on one side. With no dirt or stains ruining his uniform, the brown haired man seemed to be someone who was highly respected. “What matters is the future of this world and making a place where everyone is involved!” The man shouted to the sky before lowering his head to look at him seriously. “Are you ready?”
He paused for a moment, ready to answer before a young girl appeared on the other side of the crossroad. Dressed in a purple-blue dress with white stockings and purple shoes, she looked at him with a worried expression. She whispered a word that he couldn’t hear, but the girl continued to look at him, like she was waiting for him.
Taking a step forward, he looked almost uncertain as he looked between the uniformed man and the young girl. Both of them seemed like they needed him…
He continued to stand there.
