Finally finished, and I mostly agree with your loves and hates, with the exception of imprinting. I never had a problem with that and still think it an interesting idea. I think the issue of free will of the person imprinted on was addressed in Eclipse. Don't remember the details but something along the lines of "She can choose him or not as she pleases. He won't interfere with her free will." But I haven't read Eclipse since last August so like I said, I don't remember the details.
I loved the almost-fight scene. That was really well done! :)
I'm glad you were so thrilled with the ending. So was I. Like I wrote in my review (at bogormen) it felt complete.
Glad you liked it too! BTW, I've bookmarked your book review site -- I want to go back and look at some of your other reviews. I would love to set up something like that. So many interests, so little time ......
You could be right about the imprinting thing and free will --- I only read Eclipse twice because I hated it so much, so it's very possible I just got mixed up on that detail. Now that I know how it all ends, I plan to re-read the whole series and hopefully Eclipse will not be so horrible in that instance. :)
I'm glad you like my book review site! I love writing reviews, and it's nice to have them all collected in one place.
I'm planning to reread the entire series as well, but am thinking it'll have to wait for a vacation or I'll be totally unable to concentrate on both work and sleep... at least if previous read-throughs are anything to go by :)
