It depends. Sometimes when people go on vacation they don't have access to a computer, so a deadleaf version is the best option for going back and reading old strips, or if a webcomic only backs to a certain date, the deadleaf version is the only way to read past strips (here's looking at you, On The Fastrack).
I think hard copy versions of web comics are a great idea.
It allows me to peruse the comic when and where I want, even if I don't have a 'net connection handy. They're also great if I don't want a computer around, like soaking in a hot tub, or just laying in bed.
Also, if the comic has been around a while, it makes catching up on the story line at lot easier if you can just lay back and read without the "pain" of waiting for the web page to refresh, especially if you are on a dial up connection.
Would I buy them? Probably, but it dpends on finances and such.

However I still read paper comics and books because you can't sit upside on a sofa eating crackers and reading a laptop...it just don't work!!
