1982
✖ Reno was born.
1990
✖ The construction of the Plates begin when Reno is 8.
1999
✖ Reno becomes a Turk at the age of seventeen. Because of his reputation and prowess, Reno
skips the academy and is introduced directly into the Turk ranks. Reno quickly climbs the
unofficial hierarchy and becomes third-in-command, under Veld and Tseng respectively.
2001
✖ The struggle between AVALANCHE and ShinRa begins. AVALANCHE, under the leadership of
Shears, attacks the Mako Reactor in Sector 8. While the new-recruit takes care of the lackeys
trying to break in, Reno remains outside, holding Shears off. He fails to defeat the powerful
leader, and while the newbie( player ) fails, (player) still saves his skin while they collect intel.
★ February:
✖ Reno and (player) go to Junon to protect the President and escort him to make his speeches.
AVALANCHE attack shortly after they arrive with the intent to kill the President. They make it past
the guards, only to be defeated by Reno and (player). Veld recommends that the President
cancel his speeches, but he decides to make a quick one to raise company morale. Veld then
shows the President, Reno and (player) that AVALANCHE has operatives everywhere. Reno is
to stay with the President while (player) secures a route to the conference room.
✖ Reno catches up with the President and (player). Shortly thereafter, there's a blackout. Reno
protects the president again while (player) restores power.
✖ With the power restored, Reno is greeted by Fuhito, who proclaims some success in stopping
the President's speech. After Fuhito's threat, (player) arrives. Reno then excorts the President to
safety. In another room after Rufus' call, Reno is sent to the Mako Reactor to recover it at any cost.
✖ Reno leads some troops to intercept AVALANCHE and keep them from using the canon to destroy
Midgar. He met some trouble after being out-numbered, but he took the challenge head-on and
came out on top. Back at headquarters, it was revealed that Sephiroth was called by the President
after he was shot to stop the canon from firing. ShinRa was on high alert for Elfe and AVALANCHE
and put counter-measures in motion.
✖ A few days later, Reno and Rude were sent out to gather candidates for the SOLDIER program.
(Player) was told to come along by Reno.
★March:
✖ Reno, Rude, and (player) have been gathering candidates for a month, searching the globe over.
Only a few of the numbers they gather make it to SOLDIER. After their last stop at Costa Del Sol,
(player) brings in a good haul, and Reno goes to take a nap.
✖ While (player) and Rude handle the captive Azul, AVALANCHE advances towards their ship with
the intent of releasing the SOLDIER candidates while under Shears' leadership. Reno wakes
after Rude's defeat at Shears' hands and goes to help (player) retrieve the candidates.
✖ Reno and Rude defeat Shears and ship out a few days later.
★ April:
✖ After the mysterious theft of documents on the 45th floor of the ShinRa HQ, Reno and Rude are
sent to guard the room and keep an eye out for suspicious activity. While they're watching the
door, the alarms go off and security robots attack everyone. Reno and Rude are ordered to continue
their investigation into the missing documents. While they're doing that, they spot Dr. Hollander
and realize he must be the thief. They pursue Hollander, but he manages to escape the building
along with the security robots. Which have began attacking civilians.
✖ While Genesis attacks Midgar with his army of copies, Zack is dispatched to help the Turks. Reno
and Rude are then dispatched to chase after Hollander all the way to Sector 8's plate, but they lose
him when they're intercepted by Genesis copies.
★ December:
✖ There have been massive monster outbreaks in Sector Eight. After completing the mission,
Rude runs off. Reno instructs (player) to tail him. Turns out, Rude's been seeing a girl named
Chelsea, but (player) told Reno that s/he didn't go through with the mission, so Reno ran off to
investigate on his own. He discovers that Rude's dating Chelsea and that she was staring at
Rude's phone. He followed her after the date and saw her talking to an AVALANCHE operative
in the sewers. Reno discovers that she is a spy for AVALANCHE and was supposed to put a
tap on the phone, but didn't.
✖ After destroying the source of the monster outbreak the next day, Reno asks Rude if he's going
to see her again. Rude implies that he knows what's going on, but before Reno can interfere
further, he and (player) are sent off on a mission to eradicate the nests in the sewers, the source
of the monster outbreak.
2002
★ January:
✖ The Turks get wind of Veld being relieved of his duties as the head of the Turk faction due to
Veld being the top candidate as the mole, and his relocation to the Surveillance sector. Everyone
has mini strokes upon learning that Heidegger is to replace Veld as the head of the Investigation
Sector. Veld leaves, placing Tseng in charge, though they must still obey Heidegger.
✖ When AVALANCHE moves into Junon, the Turks are sent to scout the city and report any suspicious
activity to Heidegger. (player) comes across AVALANCHE operatives at the docks and tries to call
the busy Reno for back-up, but he's currently under hot pursuit as well. Tseng then discovers their
motives. Heidegger orders everyone to only distract AVALANCHE until his soldiers arrive, but seeing
his men in danger, Veld blackmails the President into regaining his former position. When Heidegger
is relieved, the Turks are organized.
✖ Reno is to run to the Command Tower and seize control with Rude clearing a path while (player) stops
AVALANCHE from getting access to airships. With the Legendary Turk helping (player), the mission is
a success and Legendary Turk returns to the Turks.
★ June:
✖ There is an outbreak of monsters on the upper floors. Being the only ones with the security clearance to
deal with Hojo's experiments, Tseng is assigned to evacuating all employees while the other Turks
clear the floors. When it's discovered by (player) that Hojo was kidnapped after the floors were cleared,
Reno and everyone else were re-assigned to evacuating the employees and sending the top brass to a
safe location to discuss the recent events.
★ September:
✖ After the incident at the Nibelehim Mako Reactor, once (player) called in to report what happened, all of
the Turks were dispatched immediately. Reno and Rude were sent into town to assist with the fire
and rescue the patrons of Nibelheim, and Veld returned to the Turks, only to rush off and help (player)
in the ShinRa Mansion.
✖ Reno and Rude finished gathering the survivors for Hojo, and when (player) asked what was to become
of all the survivors, when Hojo admitted they would be test subjects for his morbid experiments, Reno's
only comment was what it would look like if all of the townspeople went missing. Reno implied he
worked on the cover-up in Kalm by saying he couldn't keep doing this, but outwardly showed little other
qualms with the operation. Veld dismissed Tseng, Rude, Reno, and (player), opting to take care of the
situation himself.
2003
★ January:
✖ Reno assists Veld in watching over the launch of ShinRa Rocket No. 26. When (player) falls into the Mako
Reactor, he has faith in her skills as a Turk. A while later, Reno and Rude saw (player) dash out of the
gangway and collapse. After bringing (player) back to HQ, Reno and Rude were posted outside the door to
the Turk's secret room. It was remodeled specifically for Rufus after it was revealed by Veld that he was
the mole, and they were to guard him at all times to ensure that no one other than the Turks and the
President knew about his betrayal.
✖ Because (player) fell unconscious after exposure to trace amounts of mako, the Secondary Turks were
called in as replacements while the man-hunt for Veld began, much to the chagrin of all Turks.
2006
✖ Three years later, (player) finally wakes. Reno is there with the rest of the Turks to greet her, and once she
informs them of what Fuhito plans to do with Elfé, Reno lets her know that their intelligence network reaches
far and wide. He then pipes in after (player) asks about Veld to inform her that they're currently conducting a
search for him, as well. However, he trails off, unable to tell her the whole truth. Rude has a hard time filling
the rest in for him, so Tseng finishes the sentence for everyone.
★ October:
✖ Reno and (player) are in Cosmo Canyon, climbing towards a contact point. He's re-introducing her to her
duties with the perfect rehabilitation job. They're hunting down an endangered species for Hojo's studies.
After mentioning it's not their business to know what Hojo wants, but that they just complete the mission,
he goes on to tell her that they're looking for Planet Protectors, and that they look like tigers that not even the
locals see often. It'll make it to the celebration, but they can't cause a scene while capturing it.
✖ As soon as they enter the caverns on their way to the contact point, a lion-esque creature is spotted. They
engage it in combat, but before they can send photos, others that look like it attack. After defeating the others,
a picture is sent for verification. That creature isn't the target, and they're given further details describing it,
including a burning tail and human speech. Reno skips ahead to do some searching, but meets up with
(player), and head on into Cosmo Canyon, where Reno tells (player) that Tseng told him to head for
Bugenhagen's Observatory first and ask about Veld. He was told Veld passed through there. The conversation
re-directed to Elfé and her matiera. Reno and (player) are told that it's a special Summon materia that could
destroy all life, but it's incomplete, and feeds off of Elfé's life force to sustain itself.
✖ (Player) later asks why Reno didn't ask where their target was, and Reno answered that it was a top-secret
mission. (Player) then asks how Veld knows about Elfé's materia, but her questions interrupted by Ravens
from AVALANCHE. They have to run elsewhere to keep from drawing attention to them, and then split up to
handle the ravens individually before meeting up at the last contact point as ordered by Reno.
✖ After an arduous chase, Deneh is cornered and they are planning to take her to Hojo. Nanaki jump in and saves
her, and the rite is completed, though Reno and (player) are still able to bring Nanaki in for study.
★ December:
✖ After (player) returns from the ShinRa Mansion, it is outed by a tailing soldier that the Turks have been helping
Veld. All of them are then gathered, and Reno states he knew his life was forfeit the moment he joined the
Turk ranks, and that he understood what (player) meant when s/he said that s/he finally knew why they remained
a Turk. Their loyalty remains to Veld and his daughter. When the President finds out about this, he orders that
Scarlet handle the situation carefully, as the Turks still have Rufus in their possession.
2007
★ February:
✖ The President orders Scarlet to kill the Turks along with Veld to prevent security leaks after a soldier reports
he has seen Veld along with a Turk at the Mako Reactor's ruins in Gongaga.
★ September:
✖ Zack and Cloud are located outside the Cosmo Canyon in the Midgar Wastes. The Turks interrupt their search
for the Materia needed to save Elfé to instead carry out a Priority S mission, which is to search for Zack and Cloud.
Unfortunately, the Army finds them before the Turks can, and Zack is killed after taking out wave after wave of
infantrymen. Both men are pronounced dead over the air waves. Morale was low after their failure resulted in Zack's
death.
★ October:
✖ After finding out from Rufus that they've found Veld and (player) in Corel Prison, Tseng and Reno depart immediately
in hopes of getting there in time, knowing that they would use Veld to force them to give Rufus up and lose their only
leverage. When they arrive, only (player) is seen laying on the ground. Tseng tells Reno what happened, but they
push on, despite finding out that Veld is scheduled to be executed on October 5th and the Turks disbanded,
hunted down, and executed after him.
✖ Reno, Rude, and Tseng try time after time to hack the ShinRa Security system and find out where Veld is being
held, but to no avail. They keep getting locked out. Reno comments about how it's how 'that's the ShinRa Security
system', and how 'it's scary when turned against you.'
✖ The day before Veld's execution, Reno, Rude and Tseng are still trying to get into the Security System, but are
still getting kicked out. After Tseng mentions that someone was trying to get in, Reno mentions that the program
is running itself. It's a Surveillance feed of Veld showing them where he is, courtesy of Rufus. Rufus agrees to
tell the Turks exactly where Veld is being held, but for a price. Reno comments on how 'that's the boss for you.'
However, he'll only negotiate with Tseng, the new leader of the Turks, thus Reno and Rude are instructed to leave.
✖ (Player) is given the task of securing an exit route while Tseng, Reno and Rude hurry off to Veld's location.
Reno, Rude, and Tseng all show a deep bond of respect and admiration for Veld while discussing the fact that
Veld is being held where the garbage and waste is processed or left to rot. Each in their own way, with Reno being
the most vocal and outwardly fired-up, shows their determination and desire to free their leader from the mockery
of a prison he was put in.
✖ Reno, Rude, and Tseng continue. Many machines are thrown at the trio, but each time, Reno and Rude apprehend
them in one fell swoop, even while exchanging playful banter like old friends between them. Tseng comments
internally, making note of the pride he sees in both of them as they fight with all of their might, cutting down machine
after armored machine without batting an eye for the sake of Veld and their pride as Turks. The thought of failure
never crosses either mind.
✖ Unfortunately, they're overwhelmed by numbers in the passageway. Reno is the first to fall after getting shot. Then
Rude goes down. After multiple shots, Tseng finally falls. He's able to get back up, though, and take out the
security droids. He helps Reno and Rude up to their feet, and they continue on. Finally, they arrive at Veld's cell.
They by-pass the soldiers without harming them, though Reno does linger to taunt them before running ahead to
the door. Tseng isn't sure how to open it, but Rude handle it, using his bare hands to take the door out.
Veld is surprised to see them, and wishes they hadn't come, putting the well-being of his loyal Turks before his
own life. Reno comments that it's their job, to which he replies there won't be one to return to if they go through with
his rescue. They shrug it off, Tseng saying it would be a great loss to ShinRa if he were executed. As they're leaving
Tseng gets a call from (player) on his cell stating that the support materia were taken. (Player) states that s/he's
already in headquarters, and Tseng leaves it to the (player) to recover the materia.
✖ (Player) later calls Tseng to let him know that while Elfé was saved, Fuhito now mas all four support materia and
the summon materia, and that there is a way to complete the summon. Tseng informs Reno, Rude, an Veld
after telling (player) they will offer all the support they can from their current location. The four men reach the
meeting point to see a truck there. (Player) was supposed to've secured it, but they remember that s/he went
to take care of Zirconiaide with the other Turks. It's actually Felicia/Elfé in the truck. They all head to climb into
the truck, but as Reno mentioned moments before, they're being hunted by the army. As if on cue, they arrive to
arrest and execute the Turks on spot for their association with AVALANCHE and rescuing Veld. Before the
surrounding army can attack the Turks, a messenger comes in with news that the charges will be dropped on
one condition, that condition being that Veld and the leader of AVALANCHE still be executed. Although Reno and
Rude are unable to accept these terms, Tseng accepts them without hesitation. Knowing that his duty, above
even his loyalty to his commander, is to preserve the Turks so that they may continue to serve Shinra, Tseng
takes a gun from one of the Shinra infantrymen and fires it at Elfé, executing her.. When Tseng shoots Veld,
Reno has a simultaneous stroke/heart attack. Both Reno and Rude's spirits were broken that day.
✖ Despite Reno being the most outwardly in shock, having fallen to the ground on all fours, hoping that it's some
kind of sick dream, Tseng tells Rude and Reno that it was for the best, and tells them to get on the truck. Rude
and Reno stay behind as Tseng leaves in the truck with the corpses. After they drive past, Reno screams in
frustration while Rude stands silently.
✖ Reno and Rude are running to the city to catch up with Tseng, and see Zerconiaide start to break apart in
the sky. Rude says that it's falling out of the sky, and Reno yells for (player). After Zirconiaide breaks up,
its remnants fall to the ground, to be mistaken as snow by Aerith.
★ December:
✖ Tseng, Reno, and Rude all went back to the Headquarters to make their case and face the consequences.
Reno and Rude escort Rufus to the meeting room Tseng is sitting before a jury of three. Just before the fate of
the Turks is sealed, Rufus interrupts the President. He tells them that Tseng's act of assassinating Veld and
his daughter, the leader of AVALANCHE, proves the Turk's loyalty to ShinRa, and that they should be kept. Tseng
later thanks Rufus for all of his help, but he says to not misunderstand his intentions, and to show gratitude by
completing all of his duties loyally. Rufus leaves, and Reno comments that there's only three of them. Rude asks
if it's insufficient numbers, but Tseng reassures them that they must complete every mission without fail, then the
emergency alarms go off, stating that there is an intruder in Mako Reactor No. 1.
✖ Reno and Rude exchange friendly fodder and go to leave, but they pause. Reno turns and questions Tseng, to
see if he's coming or not. Tseng pulls his ponytail out and Reno says that one thing will never change. Tseng
finishes the sentence, saying that it's the pride in their work.
✖ Reno, along with infantrymen, arrive at the Church in the Sector 5 slums to apprehend Aerith because of the
sudden pressure from ShinRa to retrieve her.
✖ Reno and Tseng are sent to the Sector 7 plate via helicopter to drop it on the slums and crush AVALANCHE.
He arrives just as Cloud, Barret, and Tifa make it to the top of the pillar. He taunts the three just as he pushes
the button to initiate the destruction sequence. When the others try to stop the sequence, Reno steps in their
way, saying he couldn't let them do that. He then stalls them by holding them off in battle until it's ready to
collapse while Tseng goes to get Aerith. Reno suffers injuries that have him out of commission for a while.
✖ By the time Rufus' ceremony begins, Reno is back in action, working with Tseng, Rude, and the newbie,
Elena, to secure Junon and ensure the new President's safety.
✖ Reno and Rude are seen outside of Gongaga gossiping about who likes whom like old gradeschool friends
while Cloud and his gang approaches. Elena comes up behind them and runs past Cloud, announcing their
arrival to Reno and Rude, despite Cloud being about thirty feet away. Reno, still up in arms about being shown
up at the destruction of the Sector 7 plate, challenges them to a fight, as were his orders, anyway. Reno and
Rude leave after a quick fight.
✖ Rude, Reno, and Elena are seen in Wutai, enjoying a well-deserved break in the Turtle's Paradise. BUT THEN
ELENA HAD TO GO AND OPEN HER BIG MOUTH AND RUIN IT. So after a quick reprimand from both Reno and
Rude, the trio try to get back to their jolly, tipsy time while drinking booze. Reno, despite his general dis-regard for
human life when out on the field, has proven again that he has a respectful and strong bond with his fellow Turks.
Elena lets them off the hook this time as Rude quickly toasts Reno's speech about having gone through good times
and bad, but never regretting a second of it. After a few more hours of drinking, ShinRa Infantrymen enter the Turtle's
Paradise after hearing that he was there on vacation. The Soldiers ask for Reno's help, but he quickly denies them,
wanting to enjoy his rare time off-duty and not sober up. When the Infantrymen get the hint and finally leave, they
threaten that they'll tell HQ about their slacking, despite also having orders to hunt down Don Corneo. Elena gets
worried and suggests they do something, but neither Rude nor Reno agree, Reno specifically stating that he's
dedicated to his job, but he'd be a fool to sacrifice himself for it. Rude seems concerned for Elena, but Reno
lets Elena do as she pleases, knowing he doesn't have to babysit her. However, this proves to be untrue, as
Elena is captured by Don Corneo. Despite how Reno chastises, Elena is still a fellow Turk, and he proves by saying
to Rude that they'll show Don Corneo what the Turks can do that despite how Elena still irks him, the Turk bond
is still a strong one. Even Rude proves to be concerned for her. Thus he promises not to bother Cloud and his
crew while they retrieve their kidnapped friends. It's Reno's plan to split into two groups, and he tells Cloud that
they're free to do what they want as long as it doesn't endanger Elena. Likewise, they agreed to leave Yuffie alone.
While Cloud and his crew distract Don Corneo and take care of his feind, Reno and Rude set up to save Elena.
Don Corneo thinks he has the upper hand, but it's quickly lost when Rude's spectacular timing sees that Corneo's
hit with an object. Don Corneo loses balance and falls to the edge, barely hanging on. Reno goes to the edge, standing
there with his foot on Cordneo's fingers. With a final taunt, he removes his foot, causing Corneo to lose balance and
fall to the valley below. After a final taunt to Corneo's body below, Reno chastises a grateful Elena and receives a call.
His orders are to locate Cloud, which causes him to grow defensive, but when Rude asks if they're on, Reno says
that they're off duty, and leaves it at that.
2008
★ January:
✖ Reno's overseeing the operation in Junon's underwater harbor, placing the Huge Materia made by the Junon reactor
in the submarine. Reno tells the trio infiltrating to get to work, but when he realizes whom it is and what it is they want,
Reno claims he doesn't have time to deal with them, and sicks a Carry Armor at them and runs off for the submarine,
wherein Reno's mission is to safely deliver the Huge Materia to Rocket Town.
✖ Reno, Rude, and Elena find Cloud and his crew in the sewers of Midgar, making their way to the Sister Ray. Their
orders are to seek out and kill the targets, thus, loyal even to the bitter end, the Turks engage Cloud & Co. After
taking a beating, Reno decides that they should call it a day, and retreats to tend to other, more pressing matters than
Heidegger's insecurity/revenge issues.
✖ Reno, Rude, and Elena clear out Sectors 2, 3, and 4 in preparation for Meteor. Afterwards, they meet up with Tseng.
Reno questions where everyone's at, and he says they were left behind in the rubble. Reno refuses to leave the
people behind and give up, but Elena yells, telling Tseng to watch out behind him. The rubble is then reduced to a
pile of burning ashes. They begin to say that it's too much for the people to handle when Veld appears, saying
that it's a Turk's duty to never give up. All of the Turks are seen, and Veld asks Tseng to give out orders to evacuate
the remaining civilians. With a 'Roger!!' everyone gets to work immediately.
