I knew I wanted to set the trauma during William's childhood, I was searching for a plausible incident. The picture I found of of London zoo inspired the first drabble.

Keep your fingers crossed that the threat of snow at the weekend is an idle one.

Lovely and plausible sequence explaining one of my all time favourite Spike moments. I like the way you included the coal bin story as well.

Thank you. It's one of those Spike moments that needed an explanation. The coal bin was an afterthought when I realised I couldn't use Winnie the Pooh in the first drabble and had to find another bear for the second.
