hi! thank you so much for the offer of help! and yes, it's mostly .htaccess, but there's some other way in, since i keep purging those suckers and they keep coming back. i'm about to replace *all* software (have changed all all pwds, and will do it again once all the software is new again.)
i think i can get the malware sorted that way (hopefully). but i have bugginess that needs sorting that predates the malware infestation (something in the drupal db rather than in the software) - might i ask if you have any expertise in databases (php5)? i haven't been able to *find* the problem, and it just keeps increasing. if you don't have that expertise, might you have enough to help me find/hire someone who does?

ps sorry reply is so delayed - i was out of the country and afk, which...bad timing.

I didn't know where else to do this so I'm butting in on this post. I just listened to this story on my way to work last week and it was amazing. Your reading helped that fact completely. You did a bang up job on such a long story. Not once did you toss me out of the story, instead it was a very smooth reading with just the right amount of inflection. So good.
Just wanted to thank you for the hours you put into it.

I notice you still have some malware redirects on the audiofic.jinjurly.com site?
E.g. http://audiofic.jinjurly.com/category/fayjayreader has a 302 redirect to "http://uaroyalysdaliachu.ru/industry/index.php"
You're running Apache, I'm wondering if it is mostly redirects on the .htaccess files?
If so, take a look this:
http://redleg-redleg.blogspot.co.nz/2010/12/check-htaccess-for-malware.html
If there aren't any .htaccess files, then they may have been renamed in httpd.conf with a line something like:
AccessFileName .mynewmalwarefilename
Uh, I know I'm a complete random, but I'm extending an offer of assistance if there is anything I can do? Would love to help!
I only found the audiofic site approximately 3 days before it went down, and thought it was fantastic.
