I've never seen Kenshin, nor have I been in its fandom. I have Samurai X, for all the good that does me.

I've been looking for alternatives, too. I've found there's some pretty good Criminal Minds and Numb3rs out there, but I don't know, you don't watch those, do you?

I don't, but for me, fanfiction based on live-action just does not work. I can't get into it, because... I guess it's because real people make it too real, y'know? It's probably why I watch so little in terms of live-action tv, too.

I like it when things seem realistic. It makes it more believable.

Hmm. Okay, granted, but the whole suspension of disbelief thing is something I've always been good at. Lemme put it this way... with anime characters, it's... they're more expressive, because the actor can focus on getting the voice right and the artist on the expression. So the characters are clearer, more distinctive. That's probably more of why I can pick up anime fanfiction so much better, now that I think about it.
