Mind if I add you? Whenever I get to play, that is. >:O
I got the last copy at the store, but I'm sending it off to someone since their release date isn't 'til March, and they're sending mine around Christmas. So yeah.
Personally I find it to be an endearing gesture on behalf of Nintendo. Their excellence in innovation of ergonomics, display, and function proves that they have an uncanny sense in determining which true-to-life elements to plagiarantly steal... from God or recurring natural systems or something, and incorporate them into circuitry, prwesentation, and interface.
My DS has a blind spot but I'm keepin' her. I wouldn't abort my first-born just because of some physical anomaly.
Nintendo has a surprisingly awesome war-in-tea, so It either gonna be a puppy that looks just like it, or they're gonna use reconstructive surgery. I registered to get the send-in instructions like...three days ago.

And as for the dead pixel... the only possible method I know of involves making your DS homebrew capable, and having a GBA flashcart.
And if you change DS units, your code changes.
