Room 330, Wednesday Evening

Apr 03, 2013 21:21

Soooo... It had been an interesting week. If, by interesting, one counted things like reading the most uncomfortable radio broadcast ever and seeing teachers jogging half-naked down the street and being teased about Sholeh by some girl he didn't even know and just squirming. A lot. And normally, Evan would just try to work off some of that extra ( Read more... )

Last week, Sholeh had stood in front of Evan's door thinking what a terrible idea it would be for her to knock because they'd been forced to speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth that day. It seemed only fitting that she'd be doing the same thing this week, complete with the mantra of this is a terrible idea in her head, because of how...jumpy...she was feeling.

Even scrubbing down the library hadn't helped.

But last week hadn't been too awful and maybe this week they could just cuddle and read some more and that would be okay, right? The fact that Sholeh had been fantasizing thinking more about his arms wrapped around her than the books they could read was just a fluke. Yes.

Or...something something justification for her to do what she wanted anyway.

"Evan?" she called, lightly tapping on his door. "Evan are you there?"

Evan hadn't really made it all that far into his, er, reading material by the time Sholeh came knocking. He'd gotten slightly distracted by one model in particular, just a few pages into the first book. She was a redhead, and her freckles reached down from her face right over her shoulders, and... farther down still. It had Evan staring in a sort of silent awe, thinking of that one particular redhead he knew in person, who had freckles of her own.

And a birthmark, that strange girl had told him yesterday. On her inner thigh.

So, when Sholeh knocked, Evan damn near rocketed out of his bed and into the ceiling, barely managing to reign himself in before grabbing his magazines and stashing them under the bed.

"Sholeh! I'm here, yeah! Come in?"

This could not possibly go poorly.

Not at all!

Sholeh poked her head into his room, offering him a small smile. "Are you feeling all right? I can go if you'd rather. I just...thought I'd come by and say hello and maybe talk to you about your reading habits and stuff."

Evan's mouth was going to just kind of hang open for a moment, there.

How did she know?

"My... my reading habits?" He blinked, and then licked his lips, and then blinked some more for good measure. "I... I mean, you're welcome in any time, but what about my reading habits?"

He was doomed.
