good entry this week- its good to know that the kind of things that were being bought forward in our discussions was similar to what other groups were talking about.
I completely agree with what you said about unrequited love, and thought it was a good example of Helena and Demetrius. What i always thought was a little bit sad was that at the end of the play, although it is painted as a happy ending that all the four lovers were with someone, I think its a little strange that Demetrius is still under the fairies spell. Doesnt Helena deserve to be with someone who really does love her? Or would she be happy to be with him, even though she knows she wasnt his first choice, because she loves him so much? really, how much of a happy ending is that? I think that shows that in some ways our view of love has changed, because if that was the ending to a modern romantic comedy, i think alot of people would leave the theatre feeling very cheated.
Anyhow, enough of my ranting for now. Liked the entry!
