This week we began looking at Under Milk Wood. I found acting it out with my drama group to be far more beneficial in understanding the play than actually reading it. Hey Gen!
I really enjoyed your groups performance! I, like you, found it hard to understand Under Milk Wood, until i saw it performed! your group presented it really well- i especially liked the pirate scene!
I also really liked your poem! i think you captured the essence of the sparatic and induvidual nature of dreams, and i loved how you answered the repetition of the line "nonsense you say" in the final stanza and line "theyre only dreaming!". i also loved the rhyming- even though it was years ago i was taught that poems dont have to rhyme to be poetry- i still think poetry is better when it rhymes! awesome work gengen =D

Love your poem Gen... and clearly it has enabled you to get under the skin of this difficult play... you now are much closer to understanding/experiencing it....
