What are former presidents addressed as? If I was shaking hands with Bill Clinton would I say President Clinton or Mr. Clinton?

From what I've read and heard, they retain the presidential titles. Even when current presidents greet former presidents, they say, "Mr. President" to each other, which is a little goofy (and makes you wonder what W. says to his father).

I'm pretty sure they retain a nice parting package as well including presidential seal embroidered bath robes, embossed napkins, at least a few nice pens, and all the silverware they can manage to slip into a suit coat pocket.
