I've had some problems making similar jokes in mixed company myself. The same remarks that invoked approbation with one group were met with recrimination in another. For instance, your "What's the best part about raping a thirteen year old girl?" schtick went over like a lead balloon for me in Seattle, although maybe I'm just not telling it right. I know that people in Everett enjoyed the Reservoir Dogs special feature where action figures act out the scene in which Mr. Blonde cuts off the cops ear; but in Seattle, the scene had a rather tepid response. My Seattle material doesn't play well in Everett either, for that matter. It's all about knowing your audience.

Yeah, understandable. Fortunately with this group of people I can say almost anything I would normally say. I just have to keep the violence level of it down a bit. So while this comment got me one hell of a reaction, overall people still thought it was funny. They kept repeating it throughout the rest of the night. Much like "blind man stole my cake."

The exact same humor I use around you guys works just fine for me here with most my friends. Just keep by the ol' standbys of violence, racism, and degradation of women. Plus making fun of fags, thats a huge one here.
