Birthday...yah?
Yeah, it's me and Jess's birthday today. Unlike this past few years, we aren't traveling on our b-day. I was determined that until 30 our birthdays would be celebrated with a bang, and they were quite fun, Las Vegas, Key West, but this year, I didn't feel the same kind of need, though we are going to NYC this weekend, to do some celebrating. Happy Fourth of July!
Got home a bit ago, after spending the evening at the parent's house, enjoying a nice BBQ and Jess's fireworks display! It was nice, I ate too much as usual but it was nice and relaxing after having had a very stressful weekend.

I had my final exam tonight for the algebra class. It was kind of wierd to come home tonight, and realize I didn't have to sit down and to homework/study. This freedom won't last long though, my precalculus course starts next week, and that's three times a week! The textbook was ridiculously expensive to, over a hundred bucks. Ugh. I hate Mondays!
Even though I worked yesterday, it still feels like the first day back today. Spent the majority of the weekend lazing about. I did do all my math homework, and yesterday I actually ended working quite a few hours with the clients, about six hours. MMmmm....tasty
Made my curry tonight. It was supposed to be wild garlic and white bean curry, but the only thing I could find was garlic chives. Actually the garlic chive had almost no flavor, so next time I try this dish, I'll probably use regular chives, and not quite so much lime juice. Otherwise this was a very savory dish, with all the spices, cardamon seeds ( Read more... ) -

I went to the Farmers Market again today. I was trying to find wild garlic leaves, and I found garlic chives, which hopefully are similar enough. I'm going to be trying a recipe for wild garlic and white bean curry. I'm going to have to go to the specialty shop again and buy even more exotic spices: kaffir lime leaves, coriander seeds and cardamon ( Read more... )
