Title: Stutter (Prompt 47)

Summary: Oftentimes your worst critic is you yourself.
Stutter
His breath is broken, taken in short and raspy dosages. His forehead is beaded in sweat, disheveling neatly combed hair he'd spent hours tending to earlier that day. His arms are shaking, hanging awkwardly in front of him, for lack of a better place to put him.
"S-S-So," Lee Sungmin stutters, and the nervous hand gestures he makes in the process would probably give Siwon a run for his money. And it's at this moment only that he's caught off guard -- Lee Sungmin, the man with many talents, the man who can confidently tackle anything that comes his way, because he knows what he's done, what he's capable of doing.
But at that very moment, Sungmin is incapable.
"I-I-I don't know how to go about s-s-saying this," Sungmin continues, hesitancy and nervousness omnipresent in the tone of his voice. "I-I-I've thought about how to go about saying this, and I-I-I really can't think of any other way.... I-I-I mean, one night I thought about writing you a l-l-letter, and....
Sungmin laughs.
"N-N-No," he says, turning away in embarrassment. "I'll spare you the details."
Sungmin closes his eyes as he rethinks this through in his mind once more. He swears to himself that his plan had been more coherent and organized before this moment had arrived, before he himself had arrived, though he supposes all well-thought plans fall through when put into action.
"Let's just put it like this," Sungmin tries again, ditching his former monologue, because he simply wants this moment of uncertainty and embarrassment to pass.
"I."
"L-L-Like."
"You."
And then Sungmin hangs his head and lets out a sigh in relief. His breathing returns to a normal pace; his arms fall limply to his sides and remain still. His mind is racing, blown by the fact that three words could be so hard to express out loud....
Sungmin is so relieved that he barely cares for the fruits of his labor. And so, without even a second's thought, in comparison to the hours and days he'd spent thinking out his monologue to himself, Sungmin shamelessly lifts his gaze once more.
In the mirror before him he sees a reflection of himself. And the Sungmin within the mirror is neither anxious nor nervous, neither stressed nor uncertain... but smiling.
"Ah," Sungmin laughs to himself, and the reflection only grins wider in response. "I think I can live with that."

I was trying to be creative with the same name pairings, you know, besides having masturbation fics (though I will probably have to resort to that eventually). I hope this still satisfies the pairing requirement for the prompt.
