I have a feeling like I'd like to start writing something again but I'm undecided on the format for one thing and secondly the location. Do I want a normal chronological blogformat or do I wan't something more with tags/hastags/labels, I'm thinking a mix of sorts. in my head the ideal would be a page where you go and there would be the equivalence

Hmm.
I can understand why you might want to do it in a place where you have complete control, but like you said, the issue of cost does come up. Unless you're talking about just writing it for writing's sake, in which case .doc(x) format on Word works pretty well ;)

My suggestion would be to log it in an lj - either this one or another one - and also keep a backup copy in a Word doc, so you won't lose anything should this place go belly-up.

Also is this idea of cross-posting to Dreamwidth - apparently you can set it up to do that automatically.

Well not on LJ as I think that technically LJ can claim ownership etc.

I think Microsoft Office is stagnating the world.

I have no knowledge of dreamwidth.

Would you consider actually creating your own wiki?
Not sure of the technical details myself, but the software is out there and various hosting options.

I may just do it but I need to form a strategy on adding more current events or general musings etc.

I just realized that I think i still have some paid server space.
