So, there's this new buzz on the interwebz. It's called Watchmen.

At the risk of sounding like an absolute webz neophyte (but in reality just can't be arsed to look it up), I have a question. What the fuck is so special about it? Well now, looks like I'm going to have to stop being so lazy and look this up properly. You make it sound like it's worth all the hype so I'm going to do some research not related to Percy B. Shelley for once. XD

Oh! I can actually speak knowledgeably about this! Or rather, since Lithiumlaughter already beat me to the punch, I can very happily send you a PDF copy of the entire series! ;)

It's about 400 pages long and you could finish it in two hours if you're into it-- which isn't hard to accomplish while you're reading the book. (Rorsarch, my god. Rorsarch! You have not seen an anti-hero at work until you've read his story.) Forget about whatever you may have heard of the movie-- it's a pale, bloody, gratuitously gruesome hack-and-slash photocopy of the real thing-- but the comic itself really deserves some study. It'll probably come off as somewhat dated since so many of its tropes (the end of the world! heroes who are really vigilantes!) have been used over and over since it first came out in the 80s. But if you'd like to give it a shot, give me an email address and I'd be happy to send it today.
