I feel like I need to be more honest with everyone. Students, you need new hobbies besides getting detention. Fellow teachers, we need to make some hobbies for the students. Like knitting baby clothes.

I concur. Although I'm not sure if baby clothes in particular are the way to go -- not that I've anything against babies.

They need clothes too, and they look so cute when they are knit.

Knitting sounds almost as boring as being in Crane's detentions for the rest of our lives. Almost.

Two things: One, detention is a hobby. Two, isn't telling kids to knit baby clothes kind of like telling them to have kids first?

It is not a hobby, and other people have children. Not just students who aren't using protection.

Who are you going to give the baby clothes to?

Who else? The baby.
