Great update! I really miss Japan.

A replica of that San Juan Bautista ship in Ishinomaki (as found on wikipedia) seems very cool. Have you seen it? I'm looking forward to reading more about your trip.

I don't think I've ever seen as lovely fireworks, not in person. The best I saw were probably on Michel Jackson's concert in Warsaw, but I don't remember them well-- I was about 8, I think.

Do you have a translated copy of that official location map from All That Weiss? I know two people who would love to see it (and I suspect there are many more in the wk community) ^^ I could offer a lousy translation but I've been a bit overwhelmed lately and don't feel like editing the map; I don't even have it scanned.

No, I didn't see it. I was either in the town centre for the matsuri, at base camp, or down on the peninsula.

Firework festivals in Japan are on a different level to the ones back in Britain. Perhaps that's because we (used to?) have a large variety of medium-level ones available for private use compared to ordinary Japanese people.

I've been thinking about translating it for a while and, instead of scanning it, just mapping it onto Google maps. Interested?

New Thundercats is awesome!

...and that's all I can say before the baby kicks the iPad off of the couch.

Someone on my flist posted "Tiger & Bunny - OMG ..." a few days back, and my first thought was, "Where's genkischuldich?".

But it sounds like you've been doing something a lot more interesting!

I'm just about to watch it! Overall I found the episode that came directly after the one that the director said was 'so sad' was far more heart-wrenching, even if it was about an event that had already happened. Oh well. Let's see what ep18 is like...

Saw it! Now I have to look back over my flist for the past eight days and find out which point was the OMG! moment. It could be plot-related, but I think it might be a certain moment between the two title characters. I wonder...

It took a couple of days, but I found it! And it's not flocked, so it's okay to give you the link: http://athena8.livejournal.com/434803.html.

But you guys are friends anyway ~

:D

(BTW - I haven't been reading any of this so I don't know what's going on...)

Cool, will you be going to the floating lantern festival? Please take pictures when you do! I'm kinda sad that I can't make it to one while I'm here... u.u

I've already been there and I got a few photos on my iPhone. I didn't take my big camera because it's kind of intrusive.
