regarding instant coffee

Oct 06, 2004 03:09

I think a good term for instant coffee would be "zombie coffee" - because according to what a certain someone told me, the way they make it is they brew coffee like anybody would, freeze it, grind it up and dehydrate it or something like that ( Read more... )

Considering its prime reason for existence, suddenly coffee seems a much more evil thing, full of life extraction and involving the undead at all points.

Hehehe, it's the necromancer's cup, demon coffee... full of satanic goodness! Try bringing that subject up with some of your religious neighbours, I'm sure they'll be intrigued:P

excellent... i think i'll have to start calling it "zombie coffee", and maybe put up signs to that effect in the coffee break room. (-:

p.s. greetings!

Great:D It'll give people something to wonder about, hehe;)

Oh, and hi, I've read some of your entries since I added you back, after seeing you added me, and I like your photographs. I've been away from livejournal from a while, but hope to be able to write more regularly again now.

I know this has nothing to do with your post but I saw you post from A LONG time ago about Rip Slyme - Super Shooter (a song that I've been obsessed with for the past few days)

anyway I'm also learning Japanese and am currently at the top of my collage class. (in fact I've only had one class grade lower than a 100)
I'm always looking for other people who are learning so I can also expand my knowledge of the language, music, culture of Japan and whatnot

haven't seen gantz yet, would you recomend it?

Hi there,

good work on your college studies! Are you studying Japanese in college? Partly? Or on your own? If so, what are you studying at college? Pardon my legion of questions, but I'm a curious person;)

I've both read the Gantz manga and seen the first stage of the anime - but above all I recommend you only watch the DVD version of the Gantz anime - the tv version has been horribly neutered, presumably to be viewable in Japan on earlier kids-tv hours. With violence so integrated into the story-telling, a lot of crucial details where cut out with all the 'junk' - so that, for example, the first two episodes of the DVD versions are covered in the first episode and half of the second of the TV versions.

But I like the manga too. I recommend it, really (even though there's plenty of deeper literature around - Gantz is just so surreal and action-packed).
