i am so pleased at my day. i got up at 7:15(for those of you who know me, you know this NEVER happens!) was on my way to the social security office by 8, got there at 8:25(they open at 8:30) was done by 9 and on my way to the DMV, spent only an hour there--40 waiting to get INTO the dmv, then just 20 to get new license with new name! after that ( Read more... )

Where did you go that you had such a short wait at the DMV? And that is totally awesome about your jewelry!

i went to one that was in a mall in "decatur". the short wait is thanks to our govenor, there is this new rule that all renewlas are guaranteed in and out in 30 min or less or it's free. the last time i went to the dmv i got screwed bacause i said it was a name change not a renewal, so i waited over three hours and ended up leaving with still 40 people ahead of me. it is a good idea in theory, but the dmv people put renewals in front of everyone else because they don't want to lose that revenue. so in practice, it's good for renewals, or cheaters like me, but it really fucks everyone else real bad.

and thank you!!!! i got another store today, purple hall on highland ave, next to moe's and joe's is now carrying my stuff on consignment!!!

oh! that's great! I need to renew my licesnce...been putting it off for a while as you can imagine...I drove by the DMV 3 times at 3 different times of day and all 3 times it was ridiculous.
The Purple Hall is a great store in the Highlands!
