Argh-still sick, so I didn't get to go with my family to see the movie again...but some online investigating suggests that the curse of the Dutchman can be broken if after the 1st ten years the lover has remained faithful, and the post-credits scene implies Elizabeth was. Apparently there was some dialog between Davy Jones and Tia Dalma/Calypso that explained this, but it got cut. (Very smooth, editors...) What I want to know is why (according to mom) the boy who's hung in the opening scene is the same actor as their son in the end. Hmmm. Must go see it again.
