2 Things.

1. What is your gear for Chakra?
I have 69+42 VIT (w/ AF1 Body and AF2 Gloves) for 399 HP returned.

2. What your strategy on ENM: Like The Wind?

It depends on how much I carry with me, sometimes I only swap in 3 pieces, Genbu, AF1body, AF2 gloves. With that it's already about 330 HP. On top of that, my invigorate merits add 240 HP so that's 570hp with just a 3 piece swap.

There's no special strategy for like the wind, just fight him normally as mnk/nin and have the whm stay far, haste you and cure you (buff before starting).

Don't you love Numbing Noise? =]

Also, you mentioned that you trio'd Test your mite. What jobs do you go with? I used to do it with 4 so I'm a bit skeptical at how you can do it with 3.

monk/nin, nin/war and whm. You only have ichi so focus and dodge are really mportant.

The 18-man avatar battles have always been something I wanted to do, not for the pole but more so for the quest completion. I imagine getting a group together at this point since the quest has been out so long to be difficult...and controlling 18 people in itself, getting everyone to the cloisters etc #_#. But it sounds like something to attempt one day, can you give me a quick run down for the set up you guys used (if you re-call), or any tips in general would be great. :)

Melee are very good for these, the elementals and avatars in these are weak to normal melee damage, not like normal elementals. You have to kill elementals fast, blms also work well with timed -aga spells while melee keep them in one place. Have most people run away at 30% or so when they 2hr. Shiva and leviathan are a bit harder, start with other ones. For the final BC with multiple avatars and 5 carbuncles, read my old post about carbuncle's pole in the index.

For 1v1 matches, Brenner is my favorite. No questing, cheap (1250gil total as the master of ceremonies) and easyish to setup. Nice bit of options too. Essentially the same as a Diorama Ballista too.

Hell, I just used it to test out with a blm some ideas and such. 30min and we knew everything we wanted. Of course, that means more "testing" :p

Sounds like a good idea, diorama is nice but costs ballista points and I really don't enjoy the normal non-1v1 ballista. I guess i'll try to setup brenner sometimes instead of diorama, i've never even tried it yet.

Just remember with the default layout there's a small strip in the middle where you can't get attacked by sentries ;)

Not really, I have parsed myself as BST in low level PTs (35-37) and it was pretty good at those levels, but i haven't seen BST getting a lot of invites in merit PTs, if anybody on Diabolos server wants to try let me know and we can set something up.
However even after adding their damage+pet I don't think they would score very well, one thing I never liked about BST is that they kill a bit too slow.
As I show in the video above, my average kill time soloing a VT imp is 90sec, if it takes them longer than that starting with no TP that's a good indication that their combined damage output is much lower.

lol @ vishnu.. I must admit, having you show him by parsing what a unlocked destroyers can do might skew his opinion a bit extreme towards the other end. But at least he'll make the effort to go out and get one now.

And man, that was a huge Dragon Kick. Don't think I'll ever camp close to that.. >.>;

Well yeah against an average monk it wouldn't have been as huge of a gap (he also was wearing all the most expensive items I usually don't recommend for monk too, like shura parts, flame rings, etc)

I think people read the 0 delay and get excited, but don't realize there's still a pretty substantial base delay on top of that. They are better than barehands, and pretty nice for some specific situations, I myself own a pair of the NQ version (almost same stats) that I paid 2k for, so cheap I couldn't pass it up, and that was a couple of years ago.
Now I guess the HQ is cheap too, but destroyers are free! (and much higher in terms of total damage output).

On the dragon kick it was on a hard NM but it was a qutrub-type, so ws damage is doubled, and magic damage is tripled, that's why the light damage is even higher than my dragon kick. Still it's nice to be able to do that much without any gimmicks like /thf or /drk, and still keep my defensive /nin sub.
