Belerefan of Sylph here I was just wondering what are your thoughts of a Mnk/Dnc kiting a Mammet are? Doable? Or should I level Nin? I figured if anyone knew it'd be you. I got a run coming this Saturday and I wanted to know. Thank you for any help.

You can use mnk/dnc I suppose, sleeping TP beforehand to have enough. It wouldn't be really quite "kiting" as you wouldn't outrun the mammet really.
If you are doing the mission you should really consider playing the standard role of monk, killing mammets instead of trying to kite them. That means hundredfists and WS spam, possibly with /WAR. You could do it with /DNC and keep TP for emergency but you don't want to dance much until your 2hr is off so you don't waste too many attack rounds.
Monk is very good for all CoP missions especially because of that, the ability to use hundredfists and really do a ton of damage to kill things quickly so you don't have to worry much about kiting or other strategies of the sort.

Yeah thats what I meant not kiting, soloing. I was thinking that doing dmg would be better so I was wondering what would be a better choice for taking a mammet on shadows+dodge or dodge+waltz. Which set has a better survivability rate in your opninion. Thanks again for any help.

If you are doing the mission and have a PT, the question is not how to survive and tank it. You should avoid using any shadows or dances and just kill it as quickly as possible, just think of it as a maat fight. Once one is dead (just a few seconds especially if you do WS,hundredfists,WS,WS every time you have tp) you can kill the next ( ... )

solo a wivre and post it as a response to useug on youtube who did it as sam/dnc he thinks hes the only one

It's always good to see what each job is capable of, but Wivre doesn't seem that interesting to me. Besides other jobs soloed it too, even DRG/mage.
If it was something people really didn't believe MNK could do I would be more motivated but I am sure everybody thinks MNK would do just as well, especially since spike vs DoT damage doesn't matter much here. Compared to SAM we don't have thirdeye but we have chakra and counter, etc.

You can see from my screenshots in this entry and others. near bastok, latheine, Dunes, Qufim, Qufim tower, etc.. all the way to Tavnazia up to 37.

I just wanted let you know u have inspired and reinvigorated a lot of mnks I know for the job including myself with your site. I know lot mnks who've gotten excited about capping guard trying solo stuff doing /dnc and so on from reading your articles, and i can truly say we appreciate your work and don't give up on doing things for it.

unless i have failed to see it is a shame u have fallen behind in the times i have noticed that your last post is in 08' much has changed much of your recomended gear is still elite but newer items have changed much of the game. I have managed to learn much from you but someday i will take up the mantle and finish what u have started.
