Differences in Monks
It's nice to see that all the merits, gear, choices, timing and skill pays off, making the difference between me and other monks often close to double damage output (plus all other differences in evasion, counters, tanking etc).
I wonder if it's the same for other jobs, especially ones like black mage or summoner.
Here are a couple of examples, both the other monks in the example were wearing shura body (as I always say the shura set is really bad gear for monk, but people still keep wearing it..), and using exactly the same food as me (fairly cheap bream sushi). Both have the same job and subjob. Their race is elvaan while mine is Hume.
In the first example I went to help Tekni on BC KS30 Double Dragonians. Tekni is mnk/nin and Zelig is playing as nin/war, although I ended up tanking basically the whole fight =P
My damage might have been even higher but i had to waste a lot of time tanking and casting utsusemi. In this case I had double the damage (52% vs 26%).

The second example is an average over a whole apollyon SE run, the other monk didn't have vampiric claws so I just counted the battles he meleed in so he wouldn't be penalized in the averages. Here I had 40% vs 25% of the other monk.
Summary - 35 battles.
