I had a dream last night that I couldn't shake for most of this morning. In it, my entire family was sitting around our dinner table. All of my aunts and uncles were there (which, if you know the dynamics of my family, should've been my first indication that this was either a dream or a nightmare) and my dad was sitting next to me. I know what you mean, how weird it feels when other people seem to think you should be happy or capable of doing anything. Many friends and family members think it's weird that I still can't watch my dad in a movie on TV. Everyone is capable of doing different things, and unfortunately the only way to really understand it is to go through a tragic loss yourself.

It's also good that you aren't locking yourself into one plan, being open is the best way to have a good career.
