My Plan

Jan 08, 2008 15:21

Today I walked/jogged 2 miles. I also worked on some machines. I had been planning to start working out on TR's for quite some time now. Well, really, I have that plan or something like it at the beginning of each quarter. This quarter I have a bit more of a drive to stay with my plan. Last year when we went skiiing my legs were killing me. ( Read more... )

YAY!!!!

but don't focus on numbers... don't focus on weight. focus on putting muscle on your body while lifting. then you'll see inches dropping like crazy. how the hell do you think i fit in those pants i wore on new years eve???? and i haven't even lost more that 5 pounds. because your muscles way more and your muscle mass helps you tone and drop two sizes in no time.

if you wanna go climbing with me (which will allow you to focus more on your thighs) let me know i am planning to start very soon here.

how's your car situation and your body aches?
and will you be able to make it tomorrow?

Yeah, I know you're right about the weight thing. I am just totally out of shape. Really I feel like I have no muscle, only enough to keep me standing. I do know that my ideal weight is much less than it is now. In the past when I've been happiest with my figure and body tone, I was about 20lbs. lighter. I have pictures!:) Btw, you looked so great in those pants the other night ( ... )

What is your expected schedule to work out? Curious to see if it'll coincide with any of my free time so I can join ya. It's the only new year's resolution I'm thinking of enacting.

Well, Tuesdays I'll go in some time between 1 and 2. I'd be able to go in later but I have to ride the bus to pick up Athena by 3.45. On Thursdays I can go in a bit later because I don't have to pick up Athena, but I do have class at 4.30 and don't want to rush there or be too smelly. And on this day I'll want to work until at least 1pm.

Any of these hours work for you? It would be so much fun to work out with you!

Hey, just wanted to let you know that when I was in an accident, the best thing that helped my back was Pilates. I have some tapes if you would like to try them out. They're amazing exercises to help strengthen your core muscles - Josef Pilates was actually a physical therapist for dancers in the early 20th century. They're great excercises you can do anywhere and work really well as a warm up before you have your normal workout. If you want, I can come over and show you some that might help your neck/ back specifically.
