2 - While I love the overall coloring and texture in the background, there's too much of a shadow/darkness over the subject's face.

1 - The cropping and b/w effect works really well. I also love the lighting/contrasting as well.

#2 - Not a bad icon at all. The purple and yellow go well together but her face is a little too sharp and the feather texture, at least for me, doesn't really go with the icon.

#1 - The clarity of the coloring is nice, but the icon has an overall glossy look that doesn't fit very well the mood of this creation. Moreover, the white lights on top of her head are too static and they seem fake: I'd suggest the maker to soften more the lights and to put more of them for a more realistic effect.
