I've been reading up on the skills needed to pass a driver's licence test. It seems simple enough.

I also contacted the WSAA about the competition that clashed with the cruise, and apparently I did not miss much. Very few people competed, which would have made winning far less enjoyable. Well, as it gets closer to Summer, more people will get ( Read more... )

The driving test is easy, un.

But why again did you want a driver's license in NY?

Millions of people have their licence, but I'm not one of them. They have something I don't. I don't like that.

Not to fond of being unique, I see.

Not when it's being unique due to inferiority.

It might seem simple, but you have to actually do it too, you know.

So going to the cruise really was worth it! You missed nothing and had fun.

Really? Well, I do not but maybe we can find something!

There's a stark difference between reading and doing, you realize.

Perhaps for some people. I find that knowing is astoundingly similar to doing.

I would argue it's most people, especially when it concerns something like actually driving. In New York, no less.

...What do you like about archery?

It's an exercise in precision and concentration - being able to do things exactly right rather than just partially. I like the perfection of it.

...How long does it take to learn it?

Like most things, learning the underlying concepts takes next to no time. But building on those, and becoming good, takes most people significantly longer.

Of course, there is the rare person with just the right aptitude and hand-eye coordination for it. He automatically starts as very good, and only practices to become expert. Learning is immediate for him.
