At the beginning I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy myself because it was so packed I couldn't get at any of the stands and, being too polite to elbow anyone out of the way, I was just kind of standing behind everyone else thinking 'this sucks!'.
Things got better after we went in to see Yarn Harlot. Her talk was funny and interesting (As I had been expecting) and well worth £14 a ticket even if the rest had been rubbish.
Which it wasn't.
After Yarn Harlot we were hungry and popped in to the cafe only to find that they hadn't anticipated more than ten people being interested in knitting and so had run out of sandwiches. *facepalm*
We walked around to a corner shop for drinks and then came back to see if the Yarn Harlot signing queue had gone down. It hadn't.
While we were waiting for the queue to go down a bit, I bought a few things. Don't ask how much I spent!
Then I got my Yarn Harlot book signed- She was very nice and we had a mini conversation about how my name is nice and short and she wishes she had never chosen to hyphenate her own.
And then disaster struck! On the tube back to Euston I made a mistake on the lace scarf I was knitting and had to frog all 34 rows! D: So I had to start all over again. Lace is hard!
Also, hi. How is everyone? I have a week off now so I plan to read and knit and write fic (I have over 3,000 words of Harlequin written!) and maybe cook and clean and make sure we have clean clothes for our big Florida Vacation if I can be bothered.
P.S. Spore is kinda awesome.
P.P.S. I forgot to mention that I bumped into
megolas and saw
jamjar from a distance at iKnit. That was good :)
