I could have kicked myself when I read their meeting in the library. Of course! His defenses would be hard to get through! I just don't think I connected the problem he had at the trial with the open telepathy needed for the bonding. I think I might have thought that since it's Rose, he could just relax his defenses. I didn't consider the muscle-metaphor until now.... I'm morbidly curious about how it'll all happen. It'd be nice to think that things will go over easier than they're all assuming it will -- after all, it's not the MOST romantic thing to have your soon-to-be-husband/bond mate in pain during your ceremony, but knowing how stubborn Ten and Eleven are, I think it's a bit of a long shock. Maybe River's advice to be a little "rough" (especially if he likes it :D) will be helpful ( ... )

Oooh, another lovely long review. Thank you!

River's advice might be helpful indeed, whether it be helpful for Rose, or for Ten, or for both! :)

I think you and River are definitely in agreement about Rose not wanting a dress... And... It'd be blushing, ear tugging, neck rubbing cute! I love how you put that. Hmmm....

Sadly, no. Ten can't do any time travel or off planet travel at all without permission from the Shadow Proclamation. So, even jumping ahead a few weeks is out of the question. And given that English marriage laws are quite strict and demand a minimum two weeks (but in practice more), they'll have to wait for the legal marriage. But "today's ceremony" will be purely Gallifreyan (except for acknowledging the engagement for the English marriage). I hope that all makes sense. It is all rather muddled!
