I have a new hobby. I don't know how far it will go--we shall see. It could very easily be an expensive hobby, so I don't really want to do that

I'm glad you had a nice vacation. That sounds lovely. {Smile}
I hope you enjoy your new hobby, and that it doesn't get too expensive. {Smile}
I envy you the end of summer. Ours was supposed to take a break for this weekend, at least. It didn't. It's still pretty hot, and very humid, too. {grimace, lop-sided smile}
I don't like hot and humid, so I can understand you there. But cold rain and 4C (37F) the day after having sunshine and, say, 75 F (with no humidity) is rather a let down. It's 8C this morning, but the temperature is supposed to drop during the day, so it will be 4 in the afternoon.
That does seem like quite a change all at once. {Sympathetic Smile}
I'd still like to get away from temperatures in the upper 80's F, with humidity at least as high, and almost no cooling off at night. I can't see to get acclimated to that one. {resigned look}
Ah! I had wondered about your area (considering the weather). Yes, if I ever return (which I'm sure I will, at some point) I'll definitely explore those.
I don't read manga, but I just googled Drops of God. I see what you mean. I might look out for that... Thanks!
Good wine is proof the universe loves me! ;) JK, but I do love a good glass of wine, especially in the winter. But unlike you, I am very partial to the drier wines and am not at all fond of sweet wines...:)I'm also partial to reds (merlots and pinot noirs, etc.).
And snow????? Don't even say it. Noooooo....
(by the way, I posted a silly pic for you and other Dr. Who fans a few days ago, in case you miss it!)
Actually, for regular wine, I'm just as fond of the dry whites. It was only the ice wine that I loved which is particularly sweet. I think I like both sweet and dry for regular wine. I do tend to be partial to whites, but I know that I'm still at the very beginning of my "wine journey", so who knows how my taste will develop. :)
Snow? Um.... I don't think you'll want to see the post I just made.... :( :(
You envy me for my weather? Ohhh, you're going to envy me even more when you see my most recent post.... even if no-one else envies me.
The vacation, though? Yeah.... I can understand the pending unfriending. I needed that holiday. I hope that you will be able to take a holiday soon. I know things have been difficult, so I'm sending good thoughts your way.
I like sweeter wines too, especially white Zinfandel and Rieslings.
Oooh, yes! I have found that I particularly like Rieslings. I haven't tried a Zinfandel yet... that has yet to come. :)
I had a wonderfully relaxing adventure of a holiday. I got to explore, but there were no busy schedules or lists of "Must see this on this day, must go to the booking of that on that day." No... just pick up and go when and where I like. Bliss.

I don't know if you read manga but if you do you might enjoy Drops of God. It's enjoyable, educational, and has been highly influential.

Today was 26 C (79 F), and the high on Tuesday will be 3 C (37 F). Summer is over.
I should say so! I envy you for THAT, too! And the vacation. Geez, I'm gonna unfriend your Canadian ass...
