David Tennant sounding Canadian? Oh my.....

I'm looking forward to hearing what David Tennant sounds like in Gracepoint on October 2nd. If he really does sound Canadian, I'm going to love it! After all, Gracepoint was filmed here in Canada, so, aside from some American cast and crew, Canadian accents would have been all around him. Perhaps something slipped through...

hee. And you know to my ears, a Canadian accent is difficult (although not impossible) to discern from a northern US accent...But that will be interesting what your ears catch when you hear him!

Sometimes it takes me a few moments to figure out if the person is American or Canadian since there is an American accent that is pretty close. I've sometimes heard it described as a "northern US accent" and sometimes as a Mid-West accent. I have no idea if there's an official title. But most of the time, Americans sound pretty American to me in all their regional ways... :)

It's going to be fun to see what DT has adopted for his role.

So....assuming you've now had a chance to check it out, what do you think of the accent?

I don't hate it, as some people seem to, bit I'm just caught out every time he opens his mouth, because a little part of my brain keeps screaming "no that's wrong make it stop" lol
