There's History in Historical Fiction?

My grand experiment with multi-chapter fic writing, An Oakdale Farmboy in Camelot, is ostensibly historical fiction. "Historical" in the sense that it's not set in the 21st century, or even the late 20th century. NOT historical in the sense that it's in any way faithful to actual events or conditions prevailing at the time.
