i'm so, so sorry that this happened to you. And that such a horrible group is still out there, doing this to other cat owners. ~Hugs you tightly~ i wish you solace in your pain at losing Sherlock, and success at getting this horrible woman shut down.

Thanks hon. I'm still having a rough time with it right now. I don't ever cry and I think the last time I cried this hard I was in single digits and my dog had been hit by a car.

All of this has just turned me into a determined ass though, I'm going to crush that place.

losing pets is brutal, and anyone who has ever gone through that loss (i've gone through it four times) knows just how bad it is. And as horrible as this all is, i have to say I'm proud of you for reacting this way. Crush them into dust, bb.

Sherlock was most certainly the right cat for you, and I am so sorry that he passed away. The silver lining in this is that even though it was a short time, you gave him the love and care he deserved, and he knew you were there for him.

Unfortunately the neglectful treatment of animals at Pet Angel is all too common for shelters, they get so many animals in every day that they don't have enough resources to keep up. Not that I am excusing them. I hope you are successful in spreading the word about what they are doing, and that they might make changes in the way they operate.

It's not a shelter though, it's a rescue, and they get MASSIVE donations all the time (need I remind you this is Frankenmuth and it's a cat town). My friends who had several pets die were still out of hope making huge monthly donations to the place and volunteering. She had a gigantic spread in the Saginaw News with pictures of her and her husband and kids showing what 'great' people they were... and that place was a dump... we're talking 5 kittens to a tiny one cat cage...in a STORE ROOM...and they were mixing the possible Leukemia positive cats with the healthy ones. Plus they're charging 100+ for cats that aren't even up-to-date on their shots. And of course not giving medical history of the animals out up front (like Sherlock being exposed)... the humane societies in our area are actually MUCH cleaner than this place was, and they always kept their sick from their ill (unless in the case of my dog Penny, the disease was contracted from the mother and didn't present until she was older, definitely don't blame them for that)...She ( ... )
