Post hoc ergo propter hoc

Well Spring has definitely sprung, the grass looks suitably ris and any minute now the birdies really won’t know where the hell they are. At around 4.50 this morning the evil avians decided it was time for choir practice, loud enough to wake me and probably a large chunk of the street. That said I managed to slumber till the alarm at half five and mooched in to work. Slightly put out by the simplicity of the Sudoku in the Independent this morning, had finished the average and hard ones by the time my train reached London Bridge and then spent the rest of the journey looking at what has to be a non news day.

Otherwise so far I have spent an hour in a rather dull meeting with three others instead of fourteen. The upside of which is that with this radically reduced numbers that capacity to make fast and binding decisions is greatly enhanced. Naturally those who chose not to attend will start wailing and screaming when they finally return post bank holiday but it will all be too late. Ah the joys of not needing quorum.

So we had noidd and tenebrosity crash over last night and had a relatively entertaining yatter with noidd on the issues of free-speech, society and the individual and a mild wander down Bill Hicks. So that is really it.

Pinched from the evilmagnus however is a link to Dubya’s Press dinner speech….
