What to say?

So HW is disappointed with her sister and yet it resembles a rerun of an old movie. Not as if it was the first time that HW - S blew the entire stash she had and then went whingeing home. That said I have a certain amount of sympathy, it has taken almost 6 weeks now before she screamed broke. I like my sis in law, she's awfully nice and yet makes me look more frugal than a Swiss banker. That said it seems painful in some ways to watch HW walk into the same thing AGAIN. Not that I could ever tell her what to do (really doesn't work) or anything.

Either way home now and churning through emails for the first time in several days (the date timeline caused interesting ructions at work) for those whom care. Hence my lack of looking at a PC. Equally and just to throw out the whole “quiet” thing, check into a Mr. Malk, a very old friend from the North who has finally dragged his technophobic body into the LJ world, apparently it's my fault. Regardless of that I've conned him into Amber which has to be a good thing. Also he's extraordinarily funny and very smart.

Anyway over in “The Land of the Free”, where you can't buy coffee flavoured (please not the correct use of a f!!!ing U in that word) coffee apparently the Homeland Security is sidestepping privacy laws by buying up private databases... Nice loophole if you can find it, shame about the morality I guess. On a side point how do Americans spell due process, I can only assume it is “Embaressing refusal to acknowledge international legislation just off Cuba in orange suits”

As an aside a morally versatile individual at AT&T punted this intriguing testimony out, http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,70944-0.html?tw=wn_index_6

Nice to see the US has finally got over it's issue of gentlemen not reading other gentleman's post.

An interesting piece on the Iraq war simulations, http://www.armytimes.com/print.php?f=1-292925-1060102.php , loved the bit about motorcycles:)

Followed by a site of Buddhist pilgrimage that appears to be a tad, well early... http://service.spiegel.de/cache/international/spiegel/0,1518,413526,00.html

So good night one and all, hope to see you on the flip side. Must stop writing Amber stuff on trains home though.

Oh yeah after around 7pm this Friday until next Tuesday around 7am don't call unless quite frankly it's really earth shatteringly bad or good, or of course if you have free booze...

Why you ask? Well apparently I've completed 2 years of a life sentence with little chance of parole (the words absolute and nisi are just worrying) and no chance of a good service medal.
