So that indecision mode has struck, the potential new employers have just swallowed their pride and agreed to make the differences up for all my bods and myself. The threat from in house finance and a rather lovely opinion written by the Policy Advisor about 3 hours ago… The problem is, and here it gets a tad twitchy is the response of my mob. Got called into the Head Office yesterday afternoon for a clandestine meeting with my boss. Nice enough lady, whom apparently was unwilling to discuss stuff on the phone.
Bit odd until I met her boss at the same time, and then the conversation began, just over an hour of it all in all and a job offer. No numbers yet and an interview with their boss to get through first. The job though is intriguing. Effectively a 3 month rolling contract to cover an Ops Manager (person responsible for 40 - 60 sites) who has had a cardiac. The twiddly bit being that it is a foot very much in a door, the concern is that once the short term advantage of me is over then what?
To make matters worse "a" another group have contacted me apparently having been told that I'm in the market again and so I have more things to poke and consider. I think I am about to give up on believing I'll get anything but skeleton briefs written up for Amber now.
That's all folks, am off Pyrating and switching my phone of for a solid 96 hours as of tomorrow afternoon, if you want to get hold of me try a ouija board or similar device 'cos I'm off in hiding.
