Guess I should give this comm some structure:
Rules:
Have been born between 1965 and 1976.
Lets just be nice to each other - all opinions allowed but I don't allow drama and internet fights (which, lets face it, is about as useful and arguing with the TV - which I do of course - but you get what I mean)
Write in readable English type style please - we are not millenials and some of us my not know chat.

Hey, I have a brill idea - I'll start!
Date Born: May 17 1965 - yes I'm 43! Wheee!
Local: Born in the boogie down Bronx, lived there until college, went to Queens spent a bit of time in the 'burbs - White Plains, NY and than did the Manhattan thing for about 6 years. Recently moved to my husband's home town of Grand Haven, Michigan. Big change for a city girl but I love the peace and quiet.
Married: Yes, in November it will be all of 3 years!
Kids: Nope, just a beautiful and loud four year old wonder nephew.
Education: A BA in English Lit from Queens College CUNY (the finest institute of higher learning on Kissena Blvd.), a MA in English Lit (Shakespeare) from the University of New Hampshire and later a MFA from Sarah Lawrence in Theater (Acting)
Occupation: Executive Assistant and general organizer of other people's lives.
Dream Occupation: Have plans to go back to school (yes, once again!) and get a teaching certificate. Would like to teach high school English and theater.
Parents: Still with us but getting older every day and it's a bit scary.
Fave TV/Fandoms: Buffy (and the rest of the whedonverse), XFiles (the bitter), Dr. Who, The Office, Lost, CNN/MSNBC (I'm a news freak), HGTV, the Food Network, crappy celebrealty shows on VH1 and MTV, Survivor, any thing with Gordon Ramsey.
Fave Music Genre: Old school rap (I SAW Run-DMC in a basement in the Bronx back in the 80s!) Old school Punk (Ramones, MC5, Pattie Smith, Iggy), cheesy 70s rock, through my former hippy husband I really like The Band and Dylan), old school country (Willie!) original folk and blues.
Fave books/authors: Right now I'm reading the entire discworld series - it rocks! I love fantasy/science fiction with a sarcastic edge. I've gone through the English (and a lot of American) classics in school and that genre still lies very close to my heart - everything from Beowulf to John Fowles and Margaret Atwood). Like reading non-fiction - see above, news junkie.
Things I sort of know how to do: Sewing - crafty, cooking - veggie and pastry
Things I need to do more of: Work my old ass out/get sporty
Fave Sport: Golf and Basketball (old school Knicks fan) I guess I'm a Yankees fan because I am a native Bronxite, but in the end I really don't give a crap.
Clothing style: dark wash jeans, tees, comfy flats or flip flops in the summer and comfy boots in the winter. Very casual.
