GenX'ers Were Here First

Since this a group for GenX'ers, I thought that this was only appropriate to share with the group. :-)

This article from Radar, originally linked through moroccomole's page, is not only hilarious but in some ways true.

Read through it, and let us all know if you agree with the writer's standpoint on "Millenials" or if he's perpetuating the GenX whiny

I've always felt like the middle child between the Gen Xers and the Millenials. I grew up surrounded by a world surrounded by Generation X's influence. A lot of those things I loved and still enjoy with a bit of a nostalgic tear today.

However, a lot of the cultural nuances associated with the Millenials are things that I identify with as well.

If we're going by the timeline set in the article, I would technically be a Millenial, albeit on the "cusp" between the two--having been born in 1982.

I suppose socially and culturally, I'm a Millenial, but as far as attitude towards career and capitalism, I'm definitely more in line with the Gen Xers.

That was an interesting article..I work with alot of Millenials and OMG, some of them have serious entitlement issues!! But seriously all this analysis of different generations gets old..Hell, my dad was too busy going to college and Vietnam, and my mom was in school and they didn't turn into hippies, etc..

Generation X is such a generalization. My partner is 6 years older than me and we have completely different experiences growing up..Its a convenient label to place on an age group..
