It makes you smile and squirm at the same time doesn't it!?!

And of course that's art! I get to listen to people say graphic design isn't an art all day long. "This is a computer class right?" "Uhm no, we learn artistic design on computers." "Oh, so it's a pretty computer class."

Besides, the one time I've been to the ballet, was moved to tears. That's art!

Any chance of seeing some work?

I'm starved for art that doesn't revolve around 14 year olds. I miss grown ups! (or at least those old enough to buy lotto tickets)

Define art.. you arent specific..

I work a mardi gras krewe and make stuff for the floats.. and I draw.. and sometimes take pictures.

If you want to see my work www.kreweofmidcity.com. My pictures of the parade I worked on is on there. I did 2008 stuff.. first year actually working with the krewe and doing the floats with my dad who is the main artist/designer.

You can't define art.

I had to see an exhibit that included chicken wire and a brick placed on the floor. If that man can get a national show, then my preconceived notion of art is wrong. So until I get cocky enough to define it again, i'm all inclusive!

The floats are amazing! Dare I ask how long those took???

30 days. We're the only krewe that uses foil. Our den had no power for most of the year. [No power or water for that matter.] We didnt get power til December 19th.. and Mardi Gras was February 6th. So in about 30 or so days me, my dad, and a few other people did all the floats. I also work, so on my off nights I'd go help.

And I meant DEFINE art is in.. "What kind of art?" Cuz you have musicians, photographers, artists, porn stars, drag queens, all that... be specific.

no specifics, if I wanted to narrow it down I wouldn't find the "off the beaten path" artists!

music, photogpraphy, the occasional painting...all mostly for personal enjoyment, though I have been paid for it a few times

I wouldn't call myself an "artist" per se, but I love to draw and sketch. I've been doing it since I was young and soft.

And where can we see your work?? I'm envious of people who can sketch at all (takes me a while to get into that mode). So cough it up! =)

Very nice!

I'm highly impressed with people who can draw from imagination. I can only draw if I have the object I'm drawing, so lots of kudos to you!

Good luck with the comic development. Would love to see it as it comes along!
