Testament was one that stuck with me. I saw that when I was about 13 and was totally traumatized. The Cold War was something that I actively feared when I was around 8-11 years old and beyond. I was 16 when the Wall came down; I remember it being a huge relief. Embarrassingly, Red Dawn also haunted me all through high school. My friends and I were all certain that's how it would go down, and we were also certain that it would happen any day. We didn't have 24-7 media back then.

The only other film that's frightened me in the same way is a scare film about the Rapture my dad showed at his church when I was about 7. I spent the majority of that night sobbing and asking for forgiveness from a Hell I was certain I was going to (for....what? What could a 7 year old have possibly done to warrant eternal damnation? sigh.)

Did you call me the other day? Phone's been wappy-jawed. Also, I have been crazy.
