In the last reading I had for my Chaos and Fractals seminar Newton's method was mentioned. Good times.

Oh man, college essays...arrgh. By the way, where are you applying?

WEASELS, I SAY!

Weasels indeed: Amherst, Bates, Carleton, Caltech, MIT, NM tech, and Reed.

Fractals=good. I mean, it's just a seminar, it's not very in-depth. The real purpose of first-year seminars is just to make sure that people can read and write like college kids. And, since we have the lovely open curriculum, the seminar ensures that kids who aren't taking humanities classes won't forget how to read and write. It's interesting stuff, and my prof. is awesome.

If you have any questions about Amherst, lemme know. I mean, I've only been here for two months, so I'm still figuring stuff out, but I can try to give you the real dirt. Fun fact: the physics majors here have lettermen jackets, it's pretty funny.

Best of luck with your applications, but you won't need it. Admissions officers everywhere are like, "I *heart* Jeremi".
