A Collison or (3 + 4 = 7)
The boys from Waco have once again proven their brilliance with 21 tracks of auditory bliss, but this time in a different way........
.....This album is much more rockin, much more soulful, much more interesting than their previous ones. I mean this album has everything, even a bluegrass tune! These guys truly are artists in the greatest sense of the word. They pay an incredible amount of attention to detail. Every click, tap & pluck is purposefully & intricately placed & mixed together to paint a massive picture. This album is deep. You can listen & be amazed by each minute detail, or you can sit back & absorb the whole picture. They obviously spent a lot of time, blood, sweat & tears painting this picture. The entire album, as a whole, was evidently created to tell a story, or share a message (this is refreshing because it's something that is either completely absent or poorly attempted in most modern music. You know what I mean?? It's more than just a collection of songs, it's like a book with each song being its own little chapter, or a movie with its different scenes, or a play with its acts - you get the idea). The message: "When our depravity meets His divinity it is a beautiful collison."
If you combine these guys's artistic talents with their knowledge of - and passion for - Jesus, you get a fantasmagorically scrumptulescent worship experience.
If you're bored with present "Christian" music, buy this album. If you appreciate music as art, buy this album. If you are constantly looking for real ways to learn about, get to know, and experience God, buy this album. No joke, I think I've fallen more in love with Him (but this is easy to do) thanks to David and the boys.
"This music, broken, improper and inadequate in its response is rooted in the hope of rescue." -David Crowder
