I'm visiting London March 18-26th, and while I've already got some plans I'm looking for some things I might have missed. What's your favorite things to do/see/etc in London?
The British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum are both excellent. The Museum of London is relatively quick fun, as is the display room at the British Library. Greenwich is pretty good, too.
See a play or a musical. Wander the streets. Visit the cheesemonger and the Tea House over by Neal's Yard. Take a spin on the London Eye when the weather is nice. Check out the Tate Modern gallery, then walk across the Millennium Bridge and see St. Paul's Cathedral. If there is not a 3-hour line, definitely see Westminster Abbey. Take a walk through Hyde Park. Eat lots of tasty things.
Consider taking a day trip to Bath, but don't waste your time on one of those multi-destination package tours. They're mostly driving and not nearly enough time on the ground.
Go to Hampstead Heath--it's a nice park, and the view out to the London Skyline is dynamite. Eat Indian food. Several times! There are a million great museums, and many have already been mentioned here, but if you want one more to put on the list, then the Museum of London is really good. Go to the theater and go to lots of pubs. Also, there is good dancing/club scene in London. Go out at night.
